The family-owned and operated restaurant Höldrichsmühle welcomes you in Hinterbrühl in the Vienna Woods south of Vienna near the town of Mödling. The popular resort has attracted many visitors including Franz Schubert since 1786. See our menu for fine local and seasonal traditional dishes. Enjoy the historical setting in the restaurant and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the garden terrace next to the stream. The Hotel Restaurant Höldrichsmühle is the perfect place for an excursion in the countryside outside Vienna. OPENING HOURS 

The Hotel Restaurant Höldrichsmühle is open from Monday to Sunday throughout the day.

Hot meals can be enjoyed between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. (Sunday: until 8.30 p.m.)  

The lobby café bar is open throughout the day.

Tradition and History

The Höldrichsmühle is proud of its century-old history as mill and inn. Franz Schubert and Ferdinand G. Waldmüller were inspired in the romantic setting of the Höldrichsmühle. Art lovers from all over the world come to visit the site , where Schubert composed the "Lindentree" and Ferdinand G. Waldmüller painted "The Bride's Farewell from Home" in the early 19th century.
